flaming desire

a real drama queen of a sock to to treat yourself to, once the christmas knitting is done. worked in a scrumptious merino/cashmere blend, it’s the sinfully rich dessert of knitting—something for you alone.

shown here: size large in zen yarn garden serenity sock, colorway into the fire. click here to pre-order a sock kit or yarn alone (to be shipped early in january) from zen yarn garden.

to purchase pattern or view complete pattern information, please click here to visit the product page in the knitspot pattern shop.

my collaborator, roxanne, at zen yarn garden, created this very special colorway to make this design come to life for the december yarn4socks elements club kit.

my very good friend gail once again pitched in to test knit this pattern (shown in her nov 19 post)—thank you; i appreciate you so much, gail!

  1. I am SO glad this pattern is already available. Have to admit I’ve been slightly obsessed with it, after I couldn’t get in on the sock club 😀 Thanks, Anne!

  2. The photos make me so glad I managed to snag one of the kits from yarn4socks.com. It’s patiently waiting for me to finish the current sock and get cracking. Those photos are just the inspiration I need. It’s absolutely glorious.

Thank you for sharing and for making it available for everyone else.

  3. I just ordered some reward sock yarn (finishing 5 christmas gifts deserves a reward, right?) and I think i’ll just have to get this pattern when it arrives! gorgeous sock!

  4. gorgeous! i’m still planning to do the rimefrost socks first, but these are next on my list! do you know if this colorway will be available to the public anytime soon?

  5. yay!!! Woo Hoo!!! I have been waiting very patiently for this one!!! But now I have to wait another day. Pooh. I was clicking thru and getting ready to pay and had an oh duh moment when I realized I had no money in my account until tomorrow(payday). LOL

  6. Like the others I was smitten by this pattern and hoped to be able to purchase it when I couldn’t get into the sock club, so thanks! It is purchased and I am happily contemplating my orange and crimson sock yarns to find the best one.

  7. beautiful, this will be my Christmas project (in the middle of summer :-)). Is the pattern easy to convert to toe up?

  8. The sock pattern is beautiful. You and I have a pattern going: I decide what I am going to knit next, and then you post a new pattern and I have to refigure what I am knitting next:-)

  9. As you promised, here is the fabulous sock pattern. I’ve pre-ordered the yarn, but I might just have to make a pair from my stash yarn…do you believe I have quite a stash?

  10. Love the sock! Ilove your socks but am not a fan of the short row heel like in Luxor. How hard would it be to convert those patterns to this style heel?

  11. Ordered this club shipment and I love love it! The yarn truly is the colors of flames and the pattern is just beautiful! I am so looking forward to knitting these up once the craziness of the holidays is over. These will certainly keep me warm this winter.

  12. Love these socks! Shall I do these first or Hayrick?

Dovecoat question…which size are you wearing in the photos?

I’ll miss seeing you again at the Fling (boohoo-didn’t get in… 🙁 )
