opening day

Posted on Posted in book reviews/events

it’s may 1st and you know what that means—signups are now open to everyone for fall in full color 2012, yay! david, erica, joe-the-websmith, and i have been working like mad to put together another smashing club.

the yarn and pattern fun kicks off in mid-august (click here to read all the juicy details), when the first of six shipments sets sail. each month another gorgeous yarn surprise will arrive at your door in single or double doses (your choice; click here to see the luxuries that unfolded in last year’s club), followed by the ebook chapter download about a week later which includes an original pattern (or two) designed specifically for the yarn and colorway of the month.

and of course, if the full yarn club membership isn’t in the cards for you, you don’t have to miss out on the fun—we have an eBook only subscription option that you can join through our FIFC website and in our ravelry shop.

we keep the fun high throughout the preseason and gametime in our FIFC ravelry clubhouse, where clubbies meet each day in a wealth of threads to share the anticipation of each shipment, the thrill of delivery day, project notes, and all manner of life hilarity and woe (we are a chatty bunch and we’re proud of it).

our fabulous and fascinating moderators, kat, kim, and karolyn keep the group spirit at near hysterical level, while somehow maintaining a fun, friendly, and open environment that everyone enjoys—our groups are notoriously nice to visit and socialize in.

so please do join us; we’d be awfully happy and proud to welcome you to our club community!

  1. BOOOO HOOOOO! This is the year that I’ve dedicated to paying off debt, so new clubs and yarns have to be on the back burner. But I LOVED last years FIFC pattterns and can’t wait till NEXt year when I’ll be able to sign up for not only the patterns but the yarn too if the club is still going strong! All things Hanson, you know. Beautiful patterns – perfect yarns.

  2. I’m sorry to say that I’m also in the same club as Liz in Missouri – Paying off debts club. I can afford the pattern only option though. And I have lots of knitspot worthy trading or knitting up yarns in my stash already.

  3. Well here it is opening day and the club is all full. Knitters must have gotten up early. The e-book is even sold out. Next year I’m getting on line before midnite to be first.

  4. Hello All,

The Club has not sold out, there are plenty of memberships available.

  5. Yay! Last year I was in the “paying off debt” club, and could only do the pattern option. This year, I can do the yarn option! Can’t wait!

  6. I’m in again! Pattern only for me this time as I’m meant to be on a yarn diet! Reading the chapters each month will be such a treat.

  7. Yay- my puter must have had hiccups yesterday- Thanks Anne for helping- now I’m a club member!! YAY!
