lacunae mitts and hat

cozy cocoons of wool sound good about now? i know it’s below 20° at my house tonight. brr.
but i was warm in these mitts with a hat made the same while standing in the cold to show them to the camera. quick to knit and snuggly to wear . . . it’s gonna be hard to give these away.

shown here in briar rose fourth of july in a dark brown multi colorway that has a little of everything.

to purchase pattern or view complete pattern information, please click here to visit the product page in the knitspot pattern shop.

yarn provided by the incomparable chris of briar rose fibers where she offers one treasure after another (please click and go see).
many thanks for rachel’s perfectionism in proofing the pattern so it is its very best when you get it.

now, go knit and have a good weekend!

lacunae is (are ?) lovely. I’m really hoping for the triangulated mittens and hat you showed back on Dec. 2. I love, love, love that pattern and would knit it in a hat, mittens, fingerless mitts, and socks.

Great pics of the hat and mitts, but even better in person! What I am noticing is the beautiful new purple winter coat.

Hmm – not sure about the idea of cocoons. I have a slight carpet beetle issue at the moment so I’m feeling pretty anti-cocoon!

The hat and mitts look fabulous though and that streak of brown in the variegation really matches your eyes. Why oh why isn’t Briar Rose readily available in the UK (sigh).
