Fingerless mitts are a great idea for active little ones who need fingers free to explore outdoors or to keep busy in the car with back seat play activities. Mitts in five children’s sizes (XXS/XS/S/M/L, to fit ages 2 to 14 years) have a snug fit with deep ribbed cuff, shaped thumb gusset, and extra hand coverage for warmth. Add a patterned panel if desired (several choices included). A great stocking stuffer project which travels well and knits up in a flash.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size.

Suggested Yarns: Woolen Rabbit Ella Twist or Grace, Briar Rose Charity or Glory Days, Shalimar Honey Worsted, Zen Yarn Garden Pelusa, Cascade 220, Dale of Norway Falk, Filatura Di Crosa Zara, Madelinetosh Tosh DK, Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK, Knit Picks Swish DK, or any smooth, DK/light worsted yarn with approximately 120 to 150 yards per 50 grams.

Finished Size:
4.5(5, 5.5, 6, 6.5) inches in circumference to fit hands up to 5(5.5, 6, 6.5, 7) inches around palm

Yarn requirements: 60(75, 90, 110, 130) yards

Gauge: 22 sts and 34 rows = 4 inches in stockinette (unblocked)

Needles: DPNs size 4US (3.5 mm), or size to obtain correct gauge
