Hayrick Sock

A fabric with a cabled look, but no cables and a little openwork but no lace, makes this top-down sock in five sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) universally appealing. Featuring an easy to memorize pattern with lots of textural interest, this project travels well and knits up quickly into a sleek, lightweight sock suitable for casual or dress wear.
Substituting needles and/or yarn may result in an overall variation in size.

Suggested Yarns: MacKintosh Skye Sock, Hazel Knits Artisan Sock, The Woolen Rabbit Harmony Sock, Fearless Fibers Tight Twist Merino Sock, Knitting Notions Classic Superwash Sock, Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock® Lightweight, Zen Yarn Garden BFL/Nylon Sock, or any springy sock yarn with approximately 400 yards per 4 ounces.

Finished Size:
6.75(8, 9, 10, 11.25) inches in circumference, to fit feet measuring up to 8(9, 10, 11, 12) inches around

Gauge: 32 sts and 48 rows = 4” in stockinette

Needles: DPNs size US1 (2.25mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.
