ok, i have to do this real quick before classes.
talking about starting a new pair of sox got my blood running yesterday, so, before it got TOO late last night, i went upstairs and did it
ay, ay, ay—look at that uneven, loose knitting! i used my size twos, remembering that this yarn knitted up too thick the last time i had it on the needles.
ri-i-i-ght—i must’ve been smokin’ crack.
so into the bag they go to bring to class for a re-do. i may as well use them to give a tutorial on starting a toe-up sock . . .
i’m also going to tote along the newest manLace project—obstacles—and get some inches added to that (my additional yarn is in the mail, so now i can go for it).
and the barking sox? well, they got a few rows added too (lots of files to upload yesterday evening)
i worked really late, to get caught up on the time i lost during hours of troubleshooting
yesterday, sooo . . .
that’s all the knitting i have today! however, a nice prize was awarded over at the Red Sweater KAL—go take a look and give the winner a comment .

Everything is just lovely – I really enjoy your blog.
and what happened to the toe up tutorial today? little tooo carried away with the shawl of buttah?
I’m still searching for the perfect red yarn for my red sweater!
Hi Anne!
How’s life in the big city?? I like that green sock. It looks like the same color as the slime on the rocks in the tide pools in San Felipe, Mex! I know that doesn’t sound like a compliment, but it totally is!!! I am on the porcupine part of my sangria skirt (which I love still!!!), and it’s looking awesome!!! Can’t wait to make another. And red yarn is on its way for my red cardigan….but dare I join the KAL???? commitments, commitments……..
The sad thing is it wouldn’t take crack for me to make that mistake. A few glasses of wine and that memory would be history! I once struggled to begin a cotton intarsian project and just could not get the intarsia to work right. My friends at the knitting retreat with me said maybe it was the wine. I said, “Oh no, I wasn’t drinking but a glass or two” ever so demurely. A few weeks later I tried the intarsia in the afternoon stone cold sober. Not a problem in sight. Wine? What wine?
Don’t you hate when you have to start a sock over! Oh well, guess it’s all for the best in the end….
The barking sock is really neat looking – the color!!!
