Caterpillar Sock

everyone’s favorite friendly bug marches along the leg and foot of this cozy sock. the easy-to-memorize pattern makes this one a good take-along project.

shown here in yarn nerd 950Mhz Merino sock yarn, in colorway wooly bear (left), and monarch (right). adam is offering kits in both colorways, complete with pattern and enough yarn to knit a pair; click here to order.

debbieKnitter was smitten enough to be cajoled into test knitting along with me, thank you very much.
and rachel as always rose to the task of proofreading with enthusiasm; thanks rachel!

(i know. that one is almost too cute, but i couldn’t resist asking david to do it. i tell you, the man has no limits)

  1. Love the photos–after reading yesterday’s blog post, I can see why the neighbors couldn’t keep their eyes off the two of you. 😀 I’ve ordered the Monarch kit, although I love the Wooly Bear socks, too.

  2. They look great! And they really do look like caterpillars now that I see them at different angles.

  3. Wow, these are so cute! I already ordered one in the Wooly Bear colourway a few days ago. My daughters and I love to encounter those wooly bears crawling across the trail when we go hiking in the fall, so I couldn’t resist this knitted one.

  4. Something about that dark leg next to the lily white one just cracks me up! And I like the footsie one too!

  5. Awww, looks like playing footsie but I know how hard it was to really take those photos. Love it anyway.

Congrats on another pattern. Dang, grrl… you really crank ’em out.

  6. If I were your neighbor, I’d be keeping an eye on you guys, too!

Adam has already sold out but says he’ll put together more kits afer his move, so I’m on the waiting list. Which is fine because the number of UFOs around here is kinda scary right now.

  7. Anne, I share my life with a David, too. I’m not sure mine would be so accommodating if I asked him to sock model. Brava, Anne’s David! Really looking forward to the caterpillar kit!

  8. what great photos! And great colors. That pattern surely works up into a lovely sock –

I’m chuckling about all the adorable photos of your foot and David’s – and imagining that you had a pretty interesting photo shoot – it’s difficult to take pictures of one’s own feet (let alone beside someone else’s) Great job!

  9. Love the socks! I really like seeing them on you and David at the same time, next to each other. Very cool.
