bricker

here’s a sturdy, squishy sock any brother could love. while inarguably studly here, it is totally imaginable in pink, buttercup, or a soft variegated mix. definitely a crossover favorite.

shown here, size large in miss babs yummy sock, colorway, terracopper.

miss babs created the scrumptious, coppery colorway provided for this sock and she has much, much more to see in her shop, or catch her at one of her upcoming fiber shows.
rachel sent our proofed pattern all the way from isreal and we thank her very much for taking time from her trip to work on it.
our friend carol (ravel her!), a frequent commenter here, enthusiastically test knit the pattern and started a second pair for her lucky husband—thank you carol!
and to david, who traded places with me this time to lend his feet for some modeling.

  1. Nice feet, David! The socks turned out really well, Anne. My husband has been hinting for a pair. Perhaps I shall have to make him some…

  2. I purchased 2 skeins of the worsted in the the copper terra colorway, and it is just that beautiful! Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Anne 🙂

  3. queued as future boyfriend socks. i’ve just started the gusset of my second lacunae sock for the lucky man in question– we’re on the home stretch!

  4. What great socks. The stitch pattern really does give the impression of a brick wall. When is David going to give up the day job and take up sock modelling full time??

  5. These are so excellent– you and Miss Babs are a winning combination! Glad you had a good experience with her yarn, too… it’s just scrumptious. Will definitely knit some of these up for my dad, he’ll love them. 🙂

  6. Any plans for a Bricker mitt? My husband loves his Lacunae mitts and I think this pattern would be stunning for man mitts as well.
