I bet a lot of you were thinking to yourself, “will Anne be releasing another Craftsy class?” The answer is yes! The Ins and Outs of Grafting is now live and it is full of tips and tricks. She shows you how to invisibly join stitches to create seamless motifs and mirroring effects.

The best part of this mini class? It’s FREE! How cool is that!? All you need is about 25 yards of DK yarn, US size 6 and 7 needles, and stitch markers and you can sit in front of the screen and watch Anne’s online class from anywhere.
I’m not going to spoil the class for you, but if you were desiring to knit

Gobi Hat

(from BNK club 2012; available in the ebook here)

this class would be invaluable when it came to finishing the piece. Anne has a way of explaining techniques that make them seem effortless.
Anne’s 1st Craftsy class, Button Bands and Buttonholes, was released last month.

If case you missed the details about her online class, you can read this post. And in case you were dying to take this class and you hadn’t signed up yet, leave a comment below by 9 pm EST May 11 and I will draw one lucky person to get the Button Bands and Buttonholes for FREE!
I’m so glad that Anne is able to offer online classes for those of us that can’t seem to make it to her teaching events. These two classes are fantastic and I hope there are more Craftsy classes to come. I swear, Anne is making me confront all my knitting fears. One class at a time…

considering my last effort with button holes and button bands – I would love to win this class 🙂
Would love to take the class!
I have a lot to learn about buttonholes and button bands. Would love to take the class.
You mean I can have projects that don’t look like a dog with thumbs tried to do the grafting? This is on my ToDo list for sure.
I would really enjoy the buttonband class for finishing Blumchen.
Don’t include me in the giveaway, I’ve already done both classes and they are FANTASTIC! I finally understand grafting, and the buttonband/buttonhole class had so much good information. Thanks Anne! I’m looking forward to more Craftsy classes.
Fingers crossed! Have taken 2 classes with Anne, but would love to have her all to myself for some psuedo 1:1 coaching;)
would love to win this giveaway – maybe then I’d get over my Fear Of Finishing! The one sweater I’ve made that required a buttonband – nearly did me in. This is, as far as I can tell, the only thing (besides a lack of time) stopping me from knitting the sweaters I want to make for my wardrobe…
I’m really trying to get into sweaters and would love to take this class!
Wow! The grafting class sounds great. I’ve always been afraid to graft a shawl together!
Oooh, I really want to take the class!!!
Thrilled to see Anne on Craftsy! Thanks for the classes and the chance to win!
I need this class for buttonholes and bands. Mine look really weird when I try to make a sweater.
This is a great prize. It would be nice to win it.
What an awesome prize! Thank you for the opportunity.
I grafted my Gobi hat and my Gobi mittens (slightly changed Anne’s pattern). Would love to win the buttonhole/bands Craftsy class. [GO WINGS!]
I will be checking this out! I love the online class idea, I’ve never made it to one of hers yet either and I hope one day I will be able to!
Signed up for grafting.
Buttons and button bands would help greatly.
Thanks for this generous and much needed class giveaway. Anne is a talented teacher and I would be so pleased to win this one.
Holy Cow! What an opportunity! My fingers are crossed. And I’m holding my breath! Gosh, I hope I win! Had to start breathing again…but my fingers are still crossed!
I always love learning new finishing techniques. I’m very excited about both of these classes!
I’d love to try the button band class. I always have trouble getting it to look right the first time around!
What a great class. Thank you.
Since I live in the middle of nowhere, Craftsy is the best chance I have for taking a class with Anne! 😉
Yes, I am dying to take this class!
What a terrific idea to take a knitting class in the your pajamas! Thank you for the giveaway.
I love Craftsy and I hope she does more:)
You look awfully beautiful Anne. Sam approves of your lipstick. (But not Kade; you know what an au natural guy he is! haha)
I love craftsy classes! I’ve been eagerly waiting for this class since it was announced weeks ago
My last attempt at a buttonhole was a disaster. I would love to win the class.
I’m rotten at buttonholes! I could definitely use this class.
It’s been a busy, stressful past week and a half and I could really use some knitting related distraction. Plus, the class looks really interesting. 🙂
I would be so excited to win the button bands and button holes class! The only reason I haven’t bought it yet is I haven’t had time to take the classes I’ve already bought.
I would love to take the buttons and bands class. I have a sweater almost complete that will need buttons and bands – the timing would be perfect.
The buttonband/buttonhole class is on my wishlist, so I’d really love to win it!
Thanks for the opportunity to win this class–I’d love to take it!
Learn to make buttonholes and bands perfectly? Yes please!
I’m really looking forward to the grafting class (it would have been helpful last night when I finally finished Echo of Bells!). I’ve been saving the button band class for later then year when I make my husband a birthday sweater… it would be fun to win it!
I’d love to have Anne in my computer 😉 Thanks for the chance to win!
Oh I would love to win the class. I lose my steam when it comes to finishing!
This is the perfect prize…I’d love to win.
I love finishing! Fine tuning my skills would be lovely.
I would love to win this class!
Would love to know a bit more about this subject!
Great giveaway! Taking the Button Bands and Buttonholes class has been on my to-do list.
Would love to be able to ‘attend’ one of Anne’s classes!
I would be just thrilled to win the on line class!
I am never happy with the way my buttonholes turn out! This class would be perfect for me! Thanks
I would love to know how to do buttonholes and button bands! When I knit the Owl sweater I mailed it to a wonderful lady who did the assembly and button work for me. I NEED to learn how to do those things myself.
I would love to win this giveaway. My fear of button bands has kept me from making a cardigan.
This is just the class I need to help me take my knitting to an entirely new level.
I love Anne! I love Craftsy! And I have a cardigan waiting to be steeked that needs buttonholes!
If I take this class, I will become a better person. Just try and ignore THAT!
Wow, this would be amazing. I would like to learn more. Thank you for the opportunity.
It’s so cool that Anne is doing these on-line tutorials now. I keep missing the shows and events where she teaches. I think either one of these classes would be a great help.
I took this class and my grafting improved 100%, Thanks, Ann.
*headdesk* I wish I’d seen this post earlier. I finished knitting Peu de Pluie last night and grafted the two halves together. Kitchener stitch isn’t hard to do, but it can be a challenge if you’re using a dark color yarn and/or grafting lace. I used Bare Naked Breakfast Blend in Earl Grey, which is pretty dark. My graft job looks respectable, but it is just a hair on the too-tight side. Blocking has helped minimize that a little bit. I will soon start Miss Doolittle, and I will definitely watch the video before I do the grafting on that one.
Looking forward to taking the grafting class. Have added button class to my craftsy wishlist. 🙂
It would be awesome if I was the lucky winner. I just started Sprossling despite being intimidated by the button bands. It is such a beautiful pattern. I finallly caved and figured that I had to master these button bands at some point!
It would be wonderful to win. Your designs are lovely!
I already took the class so please don’t enter me for the draw. Just wanted to say how brilliant it is. Anne is so generous with her knowledge.
I love Anne!
I could definitely use a little extra help with my buttons holes!
Fingers crossed! I’ve yet to take one of Anne’s classes, but I bet they’re darn good!
Thanks for the chance to win!!
I took Anne’s sock design class. It was brilliant!
Buttonband — my nemesis. I need this.
I’m just finishing up a sweater. I need to perfect my buttonbands!
I would love to take the Button Bands and Buttonholes class. Thanks for the opportunity.
A good knitted buttonhole is hard to find! I would love to learn more and so enjoy that you share your noggin with us all with offering classes and this is yet another way to reach many of us! Thanks!
Very much coveting that craftsy class – looks great!
Thanks for a chance to win Anne’s awesome Craftsy class. 🙂
Haven’t tried a craftsy class yet, this would get me moving in that direction!
I have knit for years! I tend to stay away from items that require bands and buttonhole because I don’t like how my look when I get them done. I would love this class!
Anne’s directions and explanations are absolutely the most cogent I’ve ever heard, seen, etc. I would love to win this drawing!
I’m knitting my first cardigan. The body is 97% complete, and this class will provide great information for the button bands. Thanks for offering it and this drawing.
Woohoo!!!! Of course I would love to win this Craftsy class for free, but even if I don’t, I LOVE IT that Anne is now on Craftsy with her wit and wisdom.
What a nice giveaway. I’m never happy with my buttons and button bands!
I’d love to win!
I have taken both classes and was thrilled with what I learned. And although ZI will not be using the graphing today, I can always go back and rewind the class when I need to graph something with texture or lace. Thanks for coming to my home Anne and showing me some cool secrets. I really enjoyed the visit.
Oh, do I need a lesson on button bands. Thank you, Anne!
Wonderful! I ran right over and signed up for the grafting class 🙂
I would love to take the class on button bands.
Winning this class would give me an invaluable tool to use! I love Anne’s work and I am sure her Craftsy classes are awesome! In fact, I am going right to my Craftsy site to sign up for her class on grafting as soon as I post this comment:)
Thanks for offering this give away!
Ooooh I have seen their classes before but haven’t had the guts to buy one in fear of not being able to knit it properly :/ one day ill try it!!
I’d love to learn more about buttons and buttonbands from Anne. Her detailed finish work is what makes a sweater look like it’s been done by someone with serious skills.
Me? Please?
My first online class ever was Anne’s The Ins & Outs of Grafting and it was brilliant. So great that Anne is on Craftsy now. Thank’s for the opportunity.
It would be wonderful to win the button and buttonband course, something I surely need! Now off to check out the grafing class! Thank you!
Sounds like just the class I need for an upcoming project. Thank you.
buttonbands always frighten me. My first cardigan (finished this past February) I chose to put in a zipper rather than deal with button placement and making button holes!
I would love this class!
Thank you for this giveaway. My finishing needs help!
Just the class I need.
I would love to win this class!
Button bands! I have a horror of them, and could certainly use the class! I can graft the toes of socks, but have always been too chicken to try a pattern that involves grafting lace.
Yay for Craftsy! I have been eyeing this class and have already pounced on the free one.
Great idea for a giveaway! I haven’t tried Craftsy yet – must go check out a class.
I really need to figure out how to improve my button bands!
Pick me please!!! I would love to take that class.
Great giveaway. Hope you pick me.
I’m getting close to knitting my first button band on a baby sweater that I’m knitting. This class sounds like it would be super helpful. Thanks for the chance to win!
Oh, wow! I *love* Craftsy as a platform and have had a lot of trouble with buttonbands in my knitting past . . . what a fun opportunity!
I would love to take your Button band class! I’ve already signed up for the grafting class.
Craftsy is aMAZing. Congratulations on joining the ranks of their great teachers! I’ve enrolled in and learned from about a dozen classes plus 6 or 7 free classes. Incredible value. Thank you for doing the grafting class. Now I will be able to finish my boyfriend’s socks (I finished them a couple of years ago but they needed to be a bit longer, so I did some surgery, added an inch of length in the foot, and now have to graft the ribbing back together). Button bands is next on my purchase list! Thanks for the giveaway.
I have been saving all my pennies so I could get this class. The nursing school shoestring budget leaves me no room for any yarn related stuff 🙁 only 1 more year! Hopefully ill win & be able to knit a nice button band for the sweater I’m gonna knit over the summer 🙂
I love Craftsy’s classes and I am looking forward to taking the grafting class!
I’d love to win Anne’s Buttonhole class.
I’ve avoided patterns with button bands for years… this class sounds like it’s just what I need to get over my fear of them!
So excited to see Anne on Craftsy – I like that platform a lot. The class would be a *little* consolation for missing out on nearby in-person classes.
I would love to take Anne’s Craftsy class! I know I would learn so much!
Craftsy is awesome and so is Anne. Together, this must be a fantastic class!
I would love to win the Button Band class. I’ve paid a finishing person in the past, but it is time to put on the big girl panties and learn to do it myself.
I really need to try a Craftsy class. It is the perfect platform for those of us that would have to travel a long distance to attend any type of class.
I am so enjoying the grafting class. I would like to take the buttonband class also.
I would love to take your buttonband class, and taking it for free would be even better
I’d love the buttonband class. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I didn’t know about that class. I hope to make a sweater this year. It would be good to know!
I just reserved my grafting class a few days ago. I have been a bit busy to start it, but I have a few hours tomorrow and have planned to watch it. I would love to get the button band course too! Thanks for the generous offer.
I always have trouble with buttonbands—-I’d love that class.
Hooray! I’ve been grafting stockinette for a while now, but I’ve been wondering about how I was going to get the info I needed to graft my infinity scarf from the may shipment of bnk. I’m a bit over halfway so will be checking out Anne’s grafting class very soon!! Thank you 🙂
The craftsy class was sooo timely. I am knitting a sample sweater and it has a graft at the neckline. I have kind of fudged my way through in the past, but wanted this to be nice — and it was! Thanks!
I can do a lot of knitting techniques on my own but finishing techniques are where I’d really love to see how an expert does it and get a few tips and tricks on how to improve. I’m off to check out the grafting class right now!
