These unique fairisle socks are named after of the Shetland islands, known for the Bressay Pictish Stone. They showcase an impressive, traditional allover body pattern with two options for the cuff. These socks will keep you on your toes as you knit them, and the fairisle technique creates a hearty, warm sock.

Suggested Yarns: Bare Naked Wools Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, Ginny Sport

Finished Size: 
7(8, 9) inches in circumference, to fit feet measuring up to 8(9, 10) inches around.

Yarn Requirements: 200(225, 250) yds  

Gauge: 36 sts and 38 rows = 4” on larger needles over pattern in 2-color stranding 

DPNs size US 2 (2.75mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.
DPNs size US1.5 (2.50mm), or 0.25mm smaller than gauge needle.
