  14. Hi Everyone,
I didn’t know how else to reach everyone other than this way, knowing you will all come here to check up on Anne. I have received several private email regarding concerns for Anne. I have talked to her and asked what I could comfortably talk to you all about. Please know that Anne WILL be contacting all of you over time. There has been a loss in Anne’s family, she has lost her brother. Please pray for Anne’s family, Anne and her brother. This is a VERY emotional time for Anne and she needs all of our strength. She will be gone as long as she needs to be for her family of course. I know she did see some of your comments very quickly and she was so touched so please, I encourage you to come back and post often, if only to send her daily comfort. We all know how staying a bit busy in these times can be oddly consoling.
Anne, we love you and are wishing a safe trio to and fro. May your brother’s journey in his next life be easier than this one. Peace and blessings.

Debbie …………P.S. I will also be posting on my blog updates for all you you but I know only a few people actually go to mine, which is why I did this here.

  25. Hi Everyone,

I am writing on an update for all of you and because I still am not sure where to put these so that all of you will see it, I am putting it in Anne’s comments in hopes you’ll check back here often.

I am setting up a Benevolent Fund for Anne’s family to help deffer any funeral costs. I am not asking for you to donate and please do not feel that you must, this is solely for those who wish to send cards, donations, flowers ect..

The funeral service for Anne’s brother is at the following address…

    McVeigh Funeral Home Inc
    208 N Allen St
    Albany, NY 12206

    (518) 489-0188
You can send any wishes, ect. to this address for the Hanson funeral which will be held this Friday.
I am sure Anne can feel all your thoughts and prayers and I think it goes without saying that she is greatful for all of you and your thoughts. For those who wish to send cards ect to Anne not through the funeral home, I am going to give my personal address and you can send it to me and I promise you, I will get any and all items that are sent here , to her as soon as she comes home. I just am not very comfortable giving out Anne’s address without asking her permission first and I am just not sure when she is coming home first of all and secondly, when she does, I am sure she will be not only very tired but she probably isn’t going to have alot of energy to do a lot and I would like to try and have things organized for her already. To be honest with all of you, I feel very very bad for Anne and her family and I am not sure WHAT to do for her so I am doing whatever comes into my head to try and help so if it comes out a bit silly and poorly orchestrated, I am very sorry but I am not sure how to do this type of thing.

Here is my address: Anne Hanson
    c/o
    Debbie Jusi
    2414 Pennington St Nw
    Canton, Ohio
    44709

Again, thank all of you for your prayers and warm wishes on behalf of Anne, I just know she is so overwhelmed by all of your love and support….
I will post more when I know more.

  26. oops. P.S. I’m sorry everyone but I forgot to add that please know I will NOT be opening any of the mail sent to me, it is addressed to Anne and for her, I will just collect it….I wasn’t sure if anyone would think I would open it up or anything, I just wanted you all to know that it will be private for her.

  27. I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. there are no words that can make it right. I only know you through you website but I am praying for you and your family in this difficult time.

  28. Anne, I’ve never commented here before, but I read. I am thinking of you and your family, and though nothing I can say will make it better, please know that people around the world are thinking of you and yours.

  29. Dear Anne,

I am so sorry that your family is suffering. Please know that you and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

  30. Anne, I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Please know that you & your family are being held close in so many people’s hearts right now.

  31. Hi Everyone,

Sorry, there is apperhantly a miscommunication with the funeral home and myself. Beckie (not sure if she has a blog, geesh, how silly am I for not knowing that..) anyways, Beckie is also a very good friend of Anne’s and she used to have fiber crack *wink* (gorgeous fiber) but she contacted the funerla home and asked some questions about flowers and stuff and they told her that it would be better to mail donations to the mother (or in this case Anne) instead of the funeral home….but this was AFTER they talked to me last night and said yes, go ahead and post their address and so people can send not only condolences, flowers and/or any monetary donations…..sooooo again, because I do NOT want to post Anne’s personal mailing address and also, she is not there, I will again state that you can send anything to my address and I will get it to her asap. Also, it still remains the same, please know I will not open anything, it all remains private, for Anne’s eyes only. You could also feel free to wait for her to come home and ask her if you could send cards and stuff directly to her and ask her for her address. Again, I just don’t want to give her address out without permission.
Thank you Beckie for helping take care of this. I am so happy to be part of this community, I can’t tell you how much I feel for all of you, your all so fantastic and I know Anne can feel your love and prayers.
    Thanks ya’ll,
    Debbie

  32. Oh Anne, I will absolutely keep you and your family in my thoughts. I wish I hadn’t fallen behind in my blog-reading, so I would have known about this sooner! Knit for sanity if you can, and be well.

  33. I am so sorry about your loss, Anne. I, and all of us here are thinking of you.

  34. So sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are utmost in my thoughts and prayers. Know we are all gathered around you and holding on. Love and prayers Pat

  35. Hi Again Everyone.

I just wanted to give ya an update and save you the pain of having to track it down via my blog LOL. I talked to Anne last night and she is doing well, as well as can be expected in this difficult time. She is so touched by all of your wishes and prayers, and believe me, she really IS touched by it. You all are so great and your so amazing, I knew it before but I know it now too..The outpouring is amazing. Anne wanted me to let anyone know this,,,,I talked to her about the monetary donations and she wants you all to know, please don’t feel like you have to do that but if you want to, there is a charity listed in the obituary (I left a link for you all in the above post) and she is very impressed with it and said to please send your donations there. It is a worthy center that does ALOT of good within the community…..but also, again, please don’t feel like you have to do ANY of that.
I will continue to keep ya’ll posted and updated with minimal hoopla from me 😉
Keep your prayers and well wishes for Anne and her family during this very difficult time.

    Debbie

  41. Anne,
I ordered your delicato mitts pattern from a post back in January that I had tagged in delicious. I was coming to your main page to get your email to ask what had happened to my order–then I found your most recent post. I think I must have ordered the pattern the very day your announced your absence. You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of your brother. And it appears you have a very loving, supportive community of friends to help you through a trying time.

  42. Hi All,

I just wanted to keep you posted. I talked to Anne last night and she is doing well. She again thanks all of you for your prayers and all of your support. It continues to amaze and touch her. The calling hours were yesterday and as you may expect, Anne was very tired. The emotional strain is understandable. She thanks all of those who sent wishes to the service, it was very touching. I will continue to update you all and let me add, you are all very dear friends.

**JENNIFER*** If you want to email me privately, I can scan and send you a copy of the delicato mitts so that you have it and when Anne comes back, she can take care of the rest, at least this way you would have something. My email is debbiejusi@yahoo.com

Hugs to all of you and remember, if it doesn’t move..KNIT IT!!

    Debbie

  52. Hi, you don’t know me, I stumbled into your blog and felt the need to say that you and your family are in my prayers.

  53. Anne– I’ve been gone for a bit, and I just came back to find out your terrible news. I am so, so sorry about the loss of your brother. The world probably seems like a large and terrible place to you right now, but I just want you to know that there is still joy if you care to look for it. I find it every time I come here to read your blog. Your presence here makes the world a kinder, friendlier, and happier place. I hope that all of our thoughts and words may do the same thing for you, even if it is in a small way.

You and your family are in my thoughts.

  54. I am so sorry to read of your tragedy. I hope you and family can find some solace in happy memories.

  55. I just read about your tragedy. I, too, lost my little brother. He died at the age of 30 from an aneurysm. The pain is so intense and deep and I feel so bad for you and your entire family. Take the time you need and take care of yourself and your family. We’ll all be here waiting.

  56. I wish I had something poetic and comforting to say, but it’s never just right. I hope you’re well and healing.

  57. Anne, dearest Anne,I’m away from home and have only just read your posting. All my strongest thoughts and support are with you and my arms around you. Love and hugs to help you breathe during this time.

  58. You are in my thoughts. I just lost my mom and it is so hard. If you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to ask!

  59. I just found your blog following a link to the exquisite, oh so feminine moth shawl and read your posting from earlier this month. I will be sending you warm, loving, supportive thoughts. Following is a quote by Oscar Wilde. I came across it listening to Episode 21: Secret Water from the Cast On podcast. This particular episode is a warm and somewhat bittersweet one about loss.

Where there is sorrow, there is holy ground.
    Oscar Wilde

  64. Anne, as you may or may not know, my family suffered a similar loss some time ago. At the time, I was surprised how much this poem someone left in my comments helped me. I give it to you now, hoping that it eases your pain, as it eased mine.

I am standing upon the sea shore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the
morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until at length she hangs
like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says; “There, she is gone! â€? “Gone where? â€? Gone from my sight.
    That is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at that moment when someone at my side says, “There, she is gone! â€?
There are other eyes watching her and other voices ready to take up the glad shout,
    “Here she comes! â€?
