hey everyone, we have gotten the word from our (very hardworking) webmaster joe, that we can now open the link to the information pages of the club website.

signups for the limited full membership spots will open on tuesday, may 3, 2011 at 12pm EDT and will remain open until all spots sell out.

to avoid an unnecessary traffic jam, signups for the pattern only/e-book option, which has an unlimited number of spaces, will open on sunday, may 8 at 12pm EDT and remain open until august 1st, 2011.

without further ado, please click here to read more information about how the club will work. the payment page will not be open til tomorrow, so here is a brief rundown of the cost:

full membership USA: $290; extra yarn option, add $190
full membership canada: $300; extra yarn option, add $200
full membership international: $315; extra yarn option, add $215

  1. Am I too dense, or too eager, to see the costs related to this tempting club? I’m sure they’re there, but I must not have found what to click on.

  2. It doesn’t tell the cost, who the dyers will be, and whether shipments will be available a la carte or only en masse. It would also be helpful to know if they will be shawls, scarves, or socks, etc. (since I’m the only remaining anti-sock knitter). I’d love to join– I just need more info. Thanks!

  3. Woot! Anne, this is wonderful. : ) Thank you to all of the hard-working people behind the scenes.

  4. Ahhh this is so exciting! Wish I could sign up for the whole thing but since I can’t, thank you a million times for the ebook option, I’ll definitely be going in on that. 🙂

  5. As I’m not permitting myself to purchase yarn in 2011, I’m keen on the pattern only option. But I can’t see a price for it? Not a big worry, just want to leave space on my card for it (we move house this weekend and will undoubtedly find ourselves needing new things I have yet to dream of).

Please, please, please do something similar in 2012 when I’ll once again allow myself to buy wool!

  6. I can’t wait Anne! I’ve been looking forward to this club since you first mentioned it a few months ago. Thanks so much for putting this together!

  7. Loving this! So wish i had the funding to do this but will be looking into the pattern option, i always love your yarn choices though! If a monthly paypal option is ever done would love to play. (darn recession! 🙂 )

  8. Trying really hard to hold out for the pattern only option (have you SEEN my stash?). 🙂

  9. Laura,

I am not an anti-sock knitter, but readily admit they are not my favorite. Here’s hoping socks are not in the majority. Still I joined the club because I pretty much love everything that Anne designs. And I can imagine the yarn will be To. Die. For.

  10. I tried to convince myself to do pattern-only, but what the heck! It’s been months since my last yarn-club membership expired! 😉

  11. Anne i love your patterns and follow your blog daily. I however will not be able to join your full membership with yarn. No offense, i know you are a valued teacher and designer, and i’m sure the yarn will be of the highest of quality. BUT that is way too much to be asking. Or maybe i’m just cheap.Anyhow i wish you luck with the sign up for membership. I will eagerly wait until the ebooks are available if at a resonable price. Again good luck and good knitting:o)

  12. I did not receive the newsletter on April 24, and yet I signed up for it. Did I do something incorrectly?

  13. Wow, I love all your patterns and the idea – but it seems so expensive! Are all clubs this expensive?! I had no idea.
Much as I love the concept and appreciate the work and quality, in this financial climate there is no way ever I could afford to do something for leisure that cost this much, even though I am always knitting something. If things improve for us I could conceive of just the pattern on a monthly basis, but this is way, way over my possibilities. Is it the yarn that costs so much? I can only imagine that I would have to give up everything else I do to be able to do this, and in the scheme of things, I’m afraid it’s not that important! So really sorry, but I cannot be a prospective member/customer.

  14. I may try the ebook, which is a reasonable price. Your yarns are very lush. But the club is way out of my price range. I wish I could subscribe.
