just a quickie to say that one of our friends, annmarie started a KAL for bee fields. and you can join by going to that site (click on the KAL) and emailing her (see her sidebar). this is a good way to share information and keep up with pattern corrections, etc (there’s only one tiny so far, listed on the new errata page (i’m getting there with all this!).

thanks for the shout-out, anne. 🙂
Now you know you are big-time, Anne! A knit-along! whoo! 🙂
Good to know! I am not going to start my shawl until late summer, it will be nice to have notes to go back and check on. My tired brain will probably need them..haha
Annmarie isn’t alone! We at http://groups/yahoo.com/laceyshawl are also starting a KAL for Bee Fields, to start around 1 Sept. Some of us, including me, are waiting for the rectangular version for the KAL. This is such a great design, Anne! Thanks!
It was only a matter of time. . . . Well deserved!
i’m so glad to hear about the KAL! i can’t wait to get started on this shawl.. if only my other projects would get themselves finished on their own. lazy b*ggers.
Oooo–thanks for the tip! I’ve never done a KAL before, but I’m looking forward to this one (mostly because I know I’m going to need help). Congratulations on the marvelous response to your amazing pattern!
I am joining the flock! My kit should be arriving any day and I am really looking forward to this project.
I’m haunting my mailbox for the kit. Darned US-Canada border guards…. I wonder if they could be bribed to speed things up with some handknit socks.
can’t wait to knit my very own bee shawl!
Totally off-topic, but I couldn’t help but notice the heading that says you “wrote this terribly early in the morning”… The “terribly early” part of it almost sounds painful to me! 😉
Anne, I can not say I’m one bit surprised that Bee Fields has her own knit-along 😉 She certainly enchanted us all as you knit her. I’m becoming very enticed myself, but I’ve still got a little friend waiting for me called Morning Glory. I will however be keeping my eye on the kal 😉
